Kabbalah
Hey Lamed Bet Quof

Reading List

The books listed here are introductory. I am not in least qualified to advise on serious study, but further information can be found by visiting the sites suggested on the Links page.

I have not included the Zohar, the Book of Splendour, or the Sefer Yetzirah, the Book of Formation, two of the most important Kabbalistic texts; Aryeh Kaplan's translations of these are, I understand, highly recommended.

One caveat: do not be misled by very slim volumes that tell you they contain everything you could want to know about the Kabbalah. A lifetime's reading could not do that. They may tell you the names of the sefirot on the Tree of Life, but without some idea of the thinking behind Kabbalah, it will do little to expand your knowledge.
